High-quality instructional materials create opportunities, and strong leadership transforms them into meaningful outcomes for teachers and students. At Open Up Resources, we believe educators and leaders bring deep expertise, commitment, and insight to their work every day. When leaders are supported and connected, their learning experiences become more focused, sustainable, and impactful. The Virtual Leadership Coaching Cohorts are designed to build on leaders’ strengths while building capacity to accelerate efficiency and effectiveness of instructional practices that yield student success.
A Leadership Community Built for Today’s Challenges
Leadership development should not happen in silos. Leaders benefit from a collaborative space while strengthening their instructional leadership practice. From September 1, 2026, through May 29, 2027, administrators, coaches, and specialists will participate in monthly virtual small-group coaching communities that strengthen program design, instructional leadership, and implementation systems while building meaningful professional networks. Each cohort will engage in work that explores ways to honor each leader’s experience while addressing enabling conditions.
Cohorts are available for:
- Bookworms K–5 Reading & Writing
- ELA Leadership
- Open Up Resources K–8 Math
- Open Up High School Mathematics
Why Belonging Matters for Implementation
Belonging is a critical condition for success at every level of a system. Leaders benefit from a trusted network where their expertise is valued, and their challenges are understood. Teachers experience clearer guidance and stronger support when leadership systems are aligned, which builds professional confidence and consistency. Students ultimately benefit from coherent, high-quality instruction that supports both competence and identity as learners. When adults feel supported and connected, implementation improves. When implementation improves, students thrive.
Practical Learning That Moves Work Forward
Throughout the cohort, participants will strengthen practical leadership moves that accelerate impact, including deepening understanding of instructional practices aligned to high-quality materials, strengthening classroom observation and actionable feedback, using data to guide decisions and adjust implementation, leading change in ways that build trust and momentum, and designing systems that sustain progress over time. The cohorts are intentionally designed for real leadership work by leveraging real problems of practice. Sessions are responsive to participant needs, ensuring learning remains relevant and immediately applicable.
